Help Build a Safer Garden Homes Neighborhood!

Imagine a community where everyone – from children to seniors, cyclists to pedestrians – feels safe on our streets.

Join Us in Shaping a Safer Future

We are partnering with city officials to create a plan that addresses these challenges and focuses on reducing speeding while making our streets safer for everyone. But we need your help – your voice matters!

Background

Last year, the Greensboro Department of Transportation (GDOT) initiated the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP) with a goal towards creating “tailored plans to reduce motor vehicle speeding and make residential streets safer for all users.”

While the application for many of the streets in the Garden Homes Neighborhood were rejected, David Caldwell Drive was chosen as part of the initial group of streets for the program.

You can find out more about GDOT’s efforts and look for specifics about our neighborhood’s participation here.

Why Participate?

  • Your Community, Your Voice: Help shape a tailored solution that addresses the unique needs of our neighborhood.
  • Collaborative Action: Work with fellow residents, city planners, and experts to come up with effective solutions.
  • Stronger, Safer Streets: Together, we can create a neighborhood where everyone can feel secure walking, biking, or driving and improve our quality of life.

How You Can Help:

  • Attend A Future Meeting: Share your concerns, meet with representatives from the City of Greensboro and give feedback. Or just show up and represent our community. Our first meeting was a success and we look forward to having our next one soon!
  • Spread the Word: Encourage your neighbors to get involved. The more voices, the stronger our impact!

Let’s Build a Safer, Stronger Neighborhood – Together!
